My friend Mike, I think of you often and reflect fondly (and hilariously) of our times with AOH softball and Polish Town fast pitch. I ran the 2007 NYC Marathon as you were struggling with your disease, and wore my NYPD bib to honor you. You were simply a great guy who was so much fun to be around. Honored to have known you, and you will forever be missed.

Without the strength and drive this man had on his football team, theres about 35 kids out there, who are in college now that think about the motivation you had for us and the way you fought made us fight with you. when my parents told me you had passed, I didnt know how to feel. I was soo happy the pain was gone. but at the same time, so upset. you showed us a way to fight as brothers and to be a family. you gave us the motivation we need to live by for the rest of our lives because of you coach. I will never forget our undefeated season. we did it for you coach. we love you. we miss you. keep looking over us.

On this your 10th anniversary I want to say thank you for your service during those dark days. Many of us are still here and wondering when we will get the call. I know that when I was there I lost so many of my brothers and sisters. But until then, continue to rest in peace my brother. Always watch out for your loving family and the NYPD. Until we meet.

Hey Mike! I'll never forget our softball games. You were such a great guy. Funny, strong and always willing to listen. I remember when you were helping me out when I was thinking if leaving Highway. I have been out 10 years now and it seems like yesterday we were playing ball. What a crew that was... Miss you brother.
