Officer Blackwell,
I sure wish I could of met you.

You are very well respected in the Blackwell family and as a police officer of Baton Rouge City. I know your grandson, Brandon, is following in your footsteps, and you should be very proud. I know you have inspired him in so many ways.

Thank you for your service.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today. To your grandson , thanks for sharing a grandchild's eternal devotion to his beloved grandfather.

Rest In Peace

I never had the honor of knowing you, but I've heard great things. I know part of you lives on through my father, and I also feel like a big part of you lives on through me. One day we will meet, and I've got a lot of questions.
I would like to thank everyone who made this page and everyone who commented on it.
