Found myself thinking about you today. It doesn't matter how much time passes it always feels strange that your gone. You are, and always will be missed by so many.

10 years. 10 years is a long time. You were not forgotten. I signed on the MDT yesterday in memory of you. The department remembered you on the Facebook page. 10 years is ages ago, but sometimes it feels like yesterday. You are missed and you are never forgotten.

I came here to write something eloquent, but the words won't come today. 9 years seems like a lifetime ago. You are never forgotten and never will be. Rest easy sir, they'll keep the "Big Road" in check for you.

I so remember the day like it was just yesterday. I often held myself responsible, had I only scheduled you to go to the range for qualifications at a different time. While being your 1st line supervisor at the time it has been difficult over the years. I continue to take you with me to work everyday as I had a dog tag made with your info on it. I'm thankful for the time that God gave us together and I'm honored to have worked with one of Harris Counties Finest!!!

I still remember getting the phone call that you were gone. I often think of our banter and one-upmanship we used to engage in. Nobody could give it or take it as well as you could. I really miss it. I miss hearing you on the radio too. You'll never be forgotten my friend.

Jason,
Just saw in the news that you have been awarded the Texas Star from Governor Perry. You continue to make us all proud.
Rest well my friend. You will never ever be forgotten.
You and your brother Ty are in my prayers every day.

Remembering Officer Jason Norling (my buddy). I met him first-time at my night-job at the time, a truck-stop in Hockley, Texas, where he, his brother Ty, along with few other officers used to work different days) providing us with night-time security. On our common workday together, he used to tell funny jokes, showed me magic-tricks, few lines from his working environment, etc. And I used to amuse him with my foreign culture, personal mishaps, my in-depth knowledge in Classic Rock, etc. Then with my new job elsewhere, we kinda drifted apart. After coming back to my parental home in South-Asia, I tried to get in touch with him, thru his email address, but he never responded. Then one-day, I just Google his name, and found out the rest. I was sad, teary and depressed that day, as if I've lost someone very near and close. => Hey buddy Jason, just to let you know that I don't think I can ever forget you. May God rest you in peace (Amen).

October 1st will mark 6 years since you've been gone. Crazy huh? Every time I've gone by the Exxon, I still expect to catch you back there having a smoke. I still miss hearing you on the air. I'm thinking a glass of wine in your honor will be in order.
