Reflections for Railroad Detective Frank V. Smith
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 93rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Detective Smith, today marks the 92nd anniversary of your passing due to the actions of a thief and murderer. Your heroism is something to be admired and I’m sure in the railroad police circles, you must be a legend to have sustained a fatal wound and still to have walked ½ mile to seek assistance.
As a Railroad Police Officer, you helped protect one of the most vital parts of our economy and one of the reasons America is as great as it is. You are all heroes but you in particular were special.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
