My husband worked with DUSM Burke. I only had the chance to meet him a few times, but know from my husband what a great friend, father, and officer he was. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues. Rest in peace.

I have had the pleasure of working with Bucky on two separate three week details in 2006 and 2007. It was during the first detail that Bucky and I became good friends. You always knew he had your back no matter what. Bucky had a charisma about him. No matter what kind of day you were having he could always lighten up the atmosphere. After the completion of that detail Bucky and I continued to stay in touch. He would always call just to see how I was doing. I will miss those phone calls and most of all will miss my friend, Bucky Burke. May you rest in peace and look over us all.
