Deputy Burke,
When I came to this page I was shocked to see your name up here. I first meet you when I came to DC to do start my internship with the Marshals Service. When I first started the internship you treated me just like one of the guys and helped me getting my foot in the door with law enforcement. Brother you were a great friend and a great father. My prayers go out for your son and your family. RIP Brother you will always be remembered

We often wonder why our brothers and sisters are taken from us so early in life. I have come to understand that God has a bigger role for them to play in our lives. They become our Guardian Angels, protecting us until it's our time to join them. My heartfelt condolences to his Family, our extended Family.

May this officer's tragic and unnecessary death spur needed changes regarding mandatory PT requirements. Too many officers have died trying to meet standards that are imposed on trainees as a group instead of individually.

My condolences to the family of this dedicated LEO.
