Reflections for Constable Albert "Ross" Hager

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Another year has passed and you are still admired and respectfully remembered in the hearts and minds of so many. My thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones and friends on this anniversary of your EOW. You will never be forgotten.

Granddad,I am sorry I never got to know you, I am very proud to recently discover your career in law enforcement. I have married into a law enforcement family. And have been around police officers since I married Frank. Frank, his father, brother, and one of our sons all share the same career. Love Carolyn

Constable Hager,
It has taken over 73 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Kanawha County.

Gone, but not forgotten. Your bravery and your 16 years of service to the citizens of Kanawha County was nearly lost to the annals of time. Its preservation was sparked by an old newspaper clipping that was so lovingly preserved by your daughter Nellie. This, along with the accounts of that fateful day, which was burned in the young minds of then, nine year old son Cameron and three year old son Mike. This must have been very devistating for this family. I could not begin to surmise the magnitude of their loss or just how this family was effected by the sudden loss of their father. This piece of law enforcement and Hager family history will forever be preserved and proudly remembered by all.

Kanawha Co. Park Police
