JR, John Russell...

It has been a minute since I said hello....I know you are still watching over all of your Peace Officer Family members because we are still doing what we do. There isn't a day that goes by that you don't cross my mind....today sitting at my computer, your picture popped up several times out of the regular order, so I thought that was a message!

By the way, I told Antonio Terry (Seattle Police Department EOW 6/5/1993) to look for you.

Peace, rest easy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 6th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion and respect for you through their reflections.

It took me awhile to actually come to the website and leave something.. All I remember is how much you use to mess with me, when I will be out at Jewels and you constantly telling me..Girl the preacher know you out this late.. I would just smile and say yes and then I would stand in the corner with you and laugh at half of those clowns that came in and out Jewels. I can't believe it's been a year, it seems like yesterday when I got the phone call. I know that you are in a better place and you are missed dearly.. Praying that God will continue to give your family strength..
Love Always

Thinking of you and your family today, John. I will always remember your cheerful disposition and professionalism. You never came into my office without that smile. I will never forget that last time you visited with me and reflected upon your vacation with your wife to the Northwest. Your love for your family was so obvious. We miss you and will never forget you!

John, it's hard to believe it's been a year since you went home to the Lord. It seems like yesterday we were playing baseball for Bacon Equipment in Dixie Majors. I can still hear Parker Hale saying "come on John Smith" when you were batting. You usually came through. You were a great friend and a great person. We will meet again in the Kingdom of Heaven. God Bless you my friend.
