I would like CHP to know they are in my prayers during this difficult time. Officer Russell is a perfect example why we take such pride in being Troopers or Highway Patrol.

My heart is sad.....since my husband became an officer...two years ago....nine of his brothers have been taken. I often wonder what life would be like if people, like Officer Russell, did not become part of the CHP. The answer is simple....evil. THANK GOD we have people like Scott who do their job, no matter what it is and protect all of us from evil. Thank you Officer Russell. To his wife, family and friends, I am so sorry for the loss of a great soul. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Thank You for sacrafice and service in keeping us safe.I never knew you but, I admire you and all the other brave men and women who put your life on the line everyday.
I worked on an ambulance in the 1980s and many times the CHP backed us up like we were one of them. I want to say to your family that you are watching over them and keeping them safe. God Bless You Doug. Rest in Peace.

I have read about the horrible accident that has happened to this officer, and I am very sad for his family and friends. Everyday these officers put their lifes on the line, for us, the public. We need to appreciate and honor them, and help if needed.
People that cause things like this to happen should never be allowed to walk the earth free again.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

The sadness of Scott's death has echoed across the water to Northern Ireland. Know that there is a "California Girl" in Belfast who shares in the grief of all those who knew and loved this one. God's speed and safe home to ye Scott. And to your "Brother's and Sisters in arms"... Stay safe and stay strong.
