Thank each of you for your kind words. I randomly typed in my great grandfather's name, knowing that he was a police chief in Raeford, NC and killed in the line of duty. I was thrilled to see this memorial page even after so many decades. It matters!! Again, many thanks!!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 97th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and birthplace of my son . My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
