An honor to see my g grandfathers brother remembered. Bernards brother went on to become Utah's US Senator, a good friend of President McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt and Taft. The Thomas Kearns mansion is now the Governors mansion in Utah.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 128th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Sheriff Kearns,
It has taken over 126 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Holt County. I think it was a travesty of justice that your murderer was acquitted.

Thank you for your service in keeping the peace. Even though our justice system failed to convict your killer, rest easy that others have taken over your watch. Rest in peace.
