Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered

Chief Ware - You remind us that, no matter our rank and title, when we wear any badge we are not immune from danger. Please be that "little voice" which reminds us not to rest easy because we're at our desks at the station.

I stood in the State Assembly chamber when your name was one of almost 250 others read off during a motion regarding next month's Police Memorial Week. You are not forgotten. Thank you for your service to the people of Evans and the state of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
