I got the great privilege of escorting you great-grandson to your recognition and memorial ceremony and found out that we might be related still checking on that but our people come from the same small area in North Carolina.

Officer Williams was my great grandfather. My grandfather was Malcolm Williams officer William's son. My grandfather had moved from Macon to Washington D.C. in the 1920's. My father was named after his grandfather. His name is Frank Leon Williams Sr. He is well at age 82. I was told as much about Officer Williams as my cousin Lane. I have not seen my cousin Lane since childhood. I remember Officer Williams wife Annie, my great grandmother from my childhood. It is an honor that all fallen Officers are Memorialized.
