Officer Favela, Thank you for your service to your city, state and county. I know it takes a very special person to answer the call to be a "motorman". Plase give MC52 my love and tell him Sister misses him greatly. May you rest in peace Motorman.

To the family of Officer Favela, Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this tragic time. My brother is a motor man that was taken from us on August 14 of this year. One of his fellow officers wrote the following poem in his memory. I would like to share it with you and hope that it may bring you comfort in the days to come.

Motor Officers

I am a motor officer
Some say like no other

It is a steel horse I ride
And I can not hide my pride

I sit on steel, leather, and chrome
as it is over this land I roam.

I took a hard fall
when I answered my last call.

Although there is a tear on your cheek
remember it is with my God I meet.

I now ride on Heaven's warm streets
where the sun always shines on my new beat.

I've traded in this hard helmet
and now wear a golden halo.

I am with the other fallen Angels
who also answered no last call.

Know that everything is alright and I am fine
as I now ride with a new thin blue line.

For the day has come.
My God has called me home.

He said I need you here on this new beat
to ride and protect us on Heaven's streets.

You are My Motor Officer.
And I say you are like no other.

Once again we are faced with sorrow of another officer who has given their life helping to protect others. This not only brings sadness to the family but also to the department and the law enforcement of this great country and world. We pray that your sorrow will not be forgotten and that there are other officers there for you in your time of need.
