It's not often that I do this myself, and to be frank I really don't know how I ended up here. But to the family of this officer, and to the officers of today's corrections departments across the United States... God be with you all, as I'm sure the fine people of America are.

Guard Parsell,

Rest in Peace.

You actions at the time of your test gives you a passing grade. You alerted the prison so the prisoners could not make good on their escape.

Your actions before are an example for others to follow. That prisoners would come to your aid speak to how you did your job.

May God bless you.

You are a true hero and heroes never die. You had a job that only a few brave individuals would ever want to do, being locked up, unarmed, with the worst of the worst. I am glad that in your day justice was swift for all the pain that was brought on to your loved ones by 3 individuals that had no respect for human life. You will never be forgotten for your sacrifice. Continue to keep watch over those still walking the tiers guarding over those to keep all of us safe.
