Reflections for Prohibition Officer Loranzie Floyd "Ranz" McGlothlin

This is my great grandfather and I am very thankful for his service. This goes to show that a police officer doesn't stop being a police officer when out of the uniform. I cannot imagine what my great grandmother must have felt that night but she can rest assured that her husband was a hero!

Thanks be to every law enforcement officer for your service and oath to protect and serve! Rest peacefully in the arms of our Father God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 78 years.

It is truly an honor for me to see that my grandfather is being remembered with this memorial. I know that all of my family will be as proud as I am. I think of "John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."
Our Law Enforcement Officers are our heroes.
