Reflections for Constable Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Tomlinson

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and first anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Back in the 1950's my dad pastored a church in Riviera,Texas, where I met one of Constable Tomlinson's daughters and at that time did not know who he was until twenty years later when we moved to Waelder, Texas, and I visited her in Riviera and she told me about her father being killed when he was the constable in Waelder. He would be very proud today if he knew that his daughter and I knew only her one of six, had gone on to marry a very fine man in Riviera and raised two fine daughters. Mrs. Kaufer was a gift from him to all who knew her. Constable Tomlinson left a legacy that if he were here today would be very proud of, I know I cherish knowing his family that was left behind.
