Your heroism and service is honored today, the 101rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

"And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me."

Isaiah 6:8

You answered the call valiantly. We will always remember you, your courage, service and sacrifice. You paved the way before us who walk the beat today. Thank you. Job well done. Go with God.

On the 100th anniversary of Chief Biggy's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Chief Biggy is not forgotten.
