Detective Corporal Smith,
Thank-you for your service. You have fought the good fight, keeping the streets safe and protecting your community. The citizens of Beckley have suffered the tragic loss of a fine officer. Your sacrifice and commitment serve as an example to us all. Our deepest condolences to your family and the brave men and women of the Beckley Police Department. Our condolences especially to your little girl. Though she is only two, your little girl knows in her own way that her daddy is a hero. I would like to send my thoughts and prayers out to Officer Smith's family and friends. This is such a tragedy and he will never be forgotten. He has many fine officers that will show him the ropes in heaven. My heart breaks for his little daughter. Detective Smith, anyone who chooses to fight the war on drugs is a true hero. I didn't know you but I'm sure you are an inspiration to all those you worked with.
