To Chief James Stallings:

On behalf of our entire family, we wish to pay honor to Chief Stalling's memory on the ninety eighth anniversary of the day Chief Stallings so tragically lost his life. His heroism, valor and bravery will be forever remembered.

I believe that I am generationally related to Chief Stallings. My grandparents were born and raised in the Zebulon and Samaria area (Alfords and Murrays) and I know that we had Stallings cousins in our family tree.

Our family lost our beloved Larry Lasater when he was fatally shot in April of 2005 during a foot pursuit of two bank robbers.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the years of service Chief Stallings gave to his community and the citizens of North Carolina, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on September 21, 1910.

I'm glad you are finally being honored for your bravery and sacrifice. I only wish NC was as swift and severe with the punishment of "cop killers" now as it was nearly a century ago! Almost 2 years after my father was murdered, we still haven't gone to trial!
Rest in peace, Chief, you have deserved your rest. God bless you and those you left behind all those years ago.

Chief Stallings,
It has taken almost 96 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Spring Hope.
