My Fathers Father we never knew, a man of Peace a man in Blue. Taken from all of us,generations of sorrow.Now we all are Honored in Respectful Memory of our Grandfather; Robert Jacob Bigelow Altoona motorcycle patrolman killed 3 days after the end of Prohibition by a drunk driver at the end of his watch Dec.8 1933 passed on Dec.9 1933 Leaving 2 sons,John Robert 10 (my Dad) & Donald (Bud)8 & Kathryn Walton Bigelow (wife). GOD BLESS Our Police ,GOD BLESS the Families. All My Love GrandDad & Dad, Joyce Bigelow Smith ,J.Kevin & Jeffrey L Bigelow

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
