Reflections for Patrolman Karl J. Liebengood
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 57th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace

Officer Liebengood,
You are not forgotten by me. Your name is in my prayers each morning and evening, and I care about your sacrifice. My heart goes out to your family. I was not yet 3 years old when you died, but how grateful I am that I grew up in a home where policemen and fire-fighters were part of my life. At Barhitte Elemtary School, there was a "singing cop" who came and performed for us. I will forever love the wonderful adult leaders of my youth whom I could trust and respect. I never knew at the time how I would grow to treasure such good men of "the greatest generation!" You will never be forgotten by me, sir. May God bless your loved ones, always and forever.
With much respect!
