Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Being a Railroad cop is and never was an easy job. Detective McIntyre knew that but kept at it. Sadly he lost his life 71 years ago while performing his duties. I can only hope the animal who killed Detective McIntyre actually served his whole sentence, though it was a small price to pay for taking the life of this man.
