I couldn't help but to spend a moment reflecting on our friendship. I really miss you. You were the thunder that made the storm exciting and things like that are tough to forget.

I saw your Amelia a few weeks ago. She spent some time holding my little girls and I really enjoyed the fact that i'm sharing my family with your mom. I haven't forgotten about you and I remind my little Emmy everytime we stare at a full moon that daddy has a few friends on the moon who are watching us.

You've been on my mind the past several weeks. I really miss you, I always knew you were a great person and friend. I wanted to let you know that the family is bigger now. Esmeralda is now four and my twikies (Johanna and Jocelynn) are five months today. I've been introducing friends and family that I have lost to Esmeralda. We have placed you on the Moon. Esmeralda knows that the moon is where we see you and you get to see us back.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Eric, OMG you are going to be remembered forever. The Chicago Board of Education is naming a new high school after you. Eric Solorio Academy High School. Oh wow, how wonderful this is.
