This year for National Police Week, Mara made and sent out almost 300 thank you cards to members of law enforcement. She sure misses her daddy and so do I.

To my high school best friend, sorry we lost contact. How easy it is to do, that when life is so full of challenges. When I heard of your passing I was just trying to catch up with high school reunion info. I take alot of pride in seeing that you are an officer. See all the marching and cadences did do something in Civil Air Patrol. (pause) had to wipe the tears away. The memories we had will always be there. God bless you Cory for being a friend, an ear to listen, a genuine kind person.

It is hard to believe that soon it will be 6 years without you. I miss you so much that some days it feels like I can hardly do anything without the grief over powering me. The kids miss you a ton.

My husband is a Deputy Sheriff and recently received a Card from your daughter. I cannot tell you how much it touched his heart to be thought of by a child. Having an 11 year old daughter, it really meant a lot to him. You should know, your daughter has a heart of gold and has obviously been taught to have respect for others. She is very proud of her daddy, and it shows.
