Rest in Peace Sheriff Andrew Jackson Jacobs. Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice protecting the citizens of Goliad County, Texas.

I Pray for Peace for your Family and the men and women who now serve the Goliad Sheriff;s Office. I also Pray that the hounds of hell forever gnaw on the bones of your murderers. May their graves be infested with brier bushes and snakes. May they burn in the lake of ire forever.

Amen.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 143rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I am sure that you are proud of how your family has continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

Rest In Peace.

G-G Grandpa, I see they have you listed as "Gunfire" Although that is true, shouldn't it have been ambushed? I spent much time in finding your records and I feel you were really 'doing your job'. I, personally, am very proud of you even though never knowing you.
