Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and forty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Policeman Crandall, today marks the 141st year since you were gunned down. You showed bravery in the plan to arrest these burglars and common sense in going for assistance. How sad that the scum who were committing the crime found you out before you could get that help. Thing might have turned out different otherwise.
Though so many years have passed, your actions have not been forgotten and your memory is kept alive thanks in a large part to this wonderful website.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
