Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

You are not forgotten, especially on this the anniversery of your death. I'm sure the dog would have appreciated you if it was not out of it's mind. How horrible. God bless you.

YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AND THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO THE CITY OF NEW YORK BUT FOR YOUR KINDNESS IN TRYING TO ASSIST AN INJURED ANIMAL. IT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE KIND OF INDIVIDUAL YOU WERE. YOU ARE A HERO JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL OF THOSE THAT LOVE YOU. YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

OFFICER MCDERMONTT,THANK FOR YOUR SERVICE.

Amazing how an act of compassion can turn on you like that but compassion is often what the job is all about. Though that simple act of kindness cost you your life, it's typical of what a cop is. More worrying about what IS happening and trying to do the right thing than worrying about what MIGHT happen.

I'm grateful to whomever submitted your name and got you a place of honor here even after 78 years.

God Bless and Rest in Peace.
