To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 110th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Since the first discovery of this nation at Jamestown in 1607, people of all backgrounds have been protected, and served by those willing to take on the task few would accept.
By the steel of your character, the unwavering of your resolve, and the devotion of your duty, Smithfeld and Isle of Wight County continue safer, quieter and comforted thanks to the sacrifice of your service.
My Brother, you will not be forgotten. Your memory lives on in the rest of us, a gentle reminder and a call to serve just as you did. Rest in peace, never forgotten.
