Reflections for Police Officer Stanley Cornell Reaves

Treva,
I think of you and your children often. I will always remember his eyes and how they spoke to me every time his story was on the News. They compelled me to find you and bring you the roses for your first Valentine's Day that he would not be here with you. I was just a stranger wanting to lift you up from the grief. Never dreamed the date I appeared on your doorstep would be a date that held significence for you. Glad I followed my heart, on such a dismal rainy day. God bless you and you family.

I was just telling someone about the car stop with the 85 year old man in Cherry Hill. Everytime I tell that story I laugh so hard tears flow. You were HILARIOUS!! You HATED taking me with you-but whenever you heard my squeaky voice on the radio you would fly back to the district to make sure I was okay. Thank you for looking out for me Brother. Miss you...

Treva: Your entire family are constantly in my prayers.

Stanley I will never forget you, your laugh and good hearted nature. You had a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make every situation seem less stressful. Even though I didn't have the opportunity to meet your wife I do know that you were a heck of a husband, officer, man, son, brother and friend. You are truly missed.

Hey I finally finished grad. school. Seems like it took forever. Thanks for encouraging me to get my Master's. I feel like a piece of me is missing with you being gone. Seems like it was yesterday. I can't believe it still hurts so bad. I am trying my best to do this without you. It gets hard sometimes. Reagan was talking about how you use to use the shells from dinner at Olive Garden as puppets. Thanks for leaving us with so many good memories. Just wish you could still be with us. Ryan picked out his own sneakers yesterday. I know you would like them too. He is getting so big and completely has your sense of humor. I should have named him Stanley Jr. He was looking at our wedding pictures and wants you to come back so you can marry me again. I/We will never forget you. I will love you always Big Daddy....until next time. XOXO
