Brought my kids to visit you today. They don't fully understand right now but they will in time. Wish you could have met them. Your mom and dad looked great today and were happy to see so many of us there to honor you and celebrate your life.

Hey dude, next Thursday is your birthday it is so crazy to think you have been gone 8 years now. There still aren't many day's that go by that I don't think about you man. I'll hear someone call for Mario, or see or hear Jenkins. That name seems to be everywhere nowadays..... Well man I'll be seeing you next Thursday for our shot of whiskey and cigar buddy.......wish you were going to be there with me so I could watch you make a silly face as it burned but I guess I'll just have to make mine alone...... Love you man

Mario,
7 years today, hard to believe. I went through your reflections and felt the same as when they were written. Looking at the names, thinking of the memories, so much has changed......and so much has not. I looked at your picture this afternoon, you are missed today and forever.

I will be riding in honor of Corporal Jenkins in this year's Law Enforcement United 250-mile bike ride from Virgina Beach to Washington D.C., May 9-12. As a UCF alumni who met Corpoal Jenkins, it is my honor to help memorialize his service in this manner. I will be thinking of him and his family (and his canine partner) every mile of the way. God Bless!

I am so often thinkning about the times we shared on patrol, but most of all I think about all the times you made me laugh with your goofabll little ways. Like while driviing to the gun range in your little two door Focus as we go over a bridge and you pull out the steering wheel and say, "clear for take off"....all while we have the windows down jaming out to Eminem....lol.

Thanks for always being my friend man.
