I was there and remember that day like it was yesterday. We policed together for years and I have fond memories of the time we spent on the streets protecting and serving. Rest in peace my brother and keep watch over all of us as we continue to protect and serve. You will never be forgotten!!

It doesn't seem like it has been 7 years and then again it seems like it has been forever. I miss you so much little brother. Katie has grown into a very beautiful young woman...she is in her last year at NC State. Ben reminds me so much of you (except he has a head full of hair and is 6'2'') he has your ways...I look at him and see you at that age. Keep looking down on them Byron...they still need you, and you know why. Rest in peace. I love you brother.

My thoughts are with all of your loved ones and close friends on this day. I know they will relive their memories of you today, but those close to you think of you every day. The first thought they have when they awake each morning is of you and the last thought of the day before they drift off to sleep at night is of you. Continue to keep watch over all of them. You are a true hero and will never be forgotten.

Hey BD, I miss seeing and hearing you...The other day as I watched your daughter drive away...memories came flooding back...from way back... Maybe Katie will never turn her ball cap on backwards and drive through a field with four emts piled into the front of a crash truck yelling yell if you see a ditch...lol which happened to be you doing the driving and yelling ...who would have ever thought that rookie cop would grow so much. Become a great
Captain, husband and father...to my daughter and grandchildren...well I can remember these times now and not cry the entire time...love you BD...see you again one day.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

To your family: I hold you in my heart's embrace today. Losing a beloved is surely one of life's greatest sorrow.
I pray for solace for you today.

In a few hours, it will be three years since the worst day of my life. Not only were you taken, but Trevor. You were like a second father to me. I still go to your house expecting you to be there. You'd be so proud of Katie. She's the strongest person I know. Everytime I hear Delilah on the radio, I think of you driving me and Katie places in the minivan =]. I miss you, Byron. And I don't ever think I thanked you for everything you did for me and my family. So, thank you. I miss you. Rest Peacefully.
