Being his great granddaughter, I'm thankful to find these kind tributes! It squeezes my heart to find such stories of my family. Our son, which is his great, great grandson is a police officer & serves on a SWAT team. My husband is a Preacher of the Gospel of Christ and has had opportunity to do chaplain work with officers. We count is a privilidge to pray for our safety officers who daily lay their life on the line for our safety. It's so amazing to see God's hand extending through history.
Sincerely, One of his great granddaughters

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 100th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. What tragedy your family endured to lose you and your brother in the same incident and utterly senseless for vandalism of a mail box.

Rest In Peace.
