Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice. My father-in-law spoke very highly and dearly of you. I can’t imagine the times you guys both had. Rest easy and enjoy that cold one with Jack up there.

I worked as a Cadet for CPD and was glad to know Det. Schiller. He was a kind hearted, funny man who loved his family and his job. I always got a kick out of his response to "How are you doing sir?," to which he would classically reply: "Oh, I'm just ducky thanks." Thanks for setting a good example of having a positive attitude, despite adversity.

Hard to believe today has been 11 years since you went to Heaven. It never seems to get easier, but yet I look back at how far we have come. This Christmas seemed to be the year that stands out. The girls are happy, the grand kids are happy and a blessing, and I have even settled into my new normal after 11 years. The big addition was that Bob and Kathy joined us for our Christmas Eve family get together! Life is basically good, but not as good as it would be with you here on earth with us.
We all know you were with us on Christmas, we saw your white aura in the picture of the grand kids by the Christmas tree! I take that as your acknowledgement that your family is all safe and sound.
I love you forever Honey!

Happy Birthday Baby!
Struggling to find the words to tell you how much you are thought of each day and wish you were with us to celebrate your Birthday here on earth.
Your daughter Erin, is having an especially hard time this year. Your daughter Lindsay as usual just holds everything in and tries not to let her emotions show, but she misses her Daddy so much too!
Happy Heavenly Birthday Scott, love you forever!

I am embarrassed to admit that I came across this reflection page while doing a search for the Schillers as my family is attempting to purchase their beautiful home. The love here has absolutely brought me to sobbing tears. I am so sorry for the loss you have all had to bear, and I am sure it will be hard to move from the house you shared together. God has his plan and I hope your beautiful home is soon full of the love that is so clearly there now. God bless and thank you Detective Schiller for helping us to raise our kids in a drug-free country.

Today is 10 years since you left for Heaven. We have missed you every day of it. Your daughter Erin had her second baby on 12/21/12, a baby girl. I guess you know that, as we are sure you picked her out for us and helped the Good Lord send her to us!

I love you forever honey,

Hi Honey!
Yep, 8 years since you passed! I thought it would get easier, but it is not. I know you are with your Mom now, because she passed and met you in Heaven last week. The girls miss their Daddy so much, and our 4 grandchildren are wonderful. We talk about you often so they will always know who their Papa Scott was.
I love you forever!

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

Rest in peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 7th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for those who miss and love you, especially Carolyn and your other family members, for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace.
