While your killer may not have ever faced justice here on earth, he surely faced a higher court and justice at a later time. Thank you for your service and please know that no passage of time will erase the sacrifice you made. Rest in peace always.

Sydney had a daughter Francis Benson who was 1 year old when his life was taken from him. Francis who recently passed, spoke of her father with Pride to her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She told the story of how Sydney was off-duty and on his way home. When he took a call for another officer that ended his life. Several members of his family have been to the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC and Trace his name. His photograph in uniform has house probably hung in our home for 30 years. His great-great-grandson Quest Lee has his badge. He will always be honored and remembered in our family.
