Yet another brother officer has fallen while protecting others. Rest assured brother we will not rest until we bring the killer to justice. Your wife and children can be proud of your full devotion to duty in the face of extreme danger. May God bring them comfort in this time of sadness and let them know that his fellow brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement will look after them. He is now a hero in heaven, God Bless.

You truly are a hero. You put yourself aside to pursue a man who just killed 2 people and wounded another.

You are the shining example of courage in the face of horror.

May you enjoy everything God and Heaven have to offer, and may God's love shine upon your family.

Well done brother.

To Sgt. Teasley's wife and children, family, friends, co-workers, and anyone else who is affected by his leaving:

My heart just breaks for you. I watched this story unfold on the news, as I myself am a GA citizen. I kept thinking, "This is so senseless, so tragic. How can it be happening to someone else? It's so unfair!" I know you have all probably thought the same things over and over again. I pray for justice to come and for your hearts and minds to be comforted by the Lord. Know that Sgt. Teasley died a hero; he has joined the ranks of many who have gone before him. The upcoming days, weeks, and even years will be challenging to say the least. There will be many times all you can do is cry and ask "why." People will ask you how you're doing, and you simply won't know how to respond, except to say "I'm alive." Sometimes even that can be a challenge. But know that Sgt. Teasley is watching over you all and will send you messages of love at the times you least expect them. My fiancee, Cole, met him at Heaven's gates, I'm sure. It has been almost 2 years since Cole was taken, and the pain still cuts like a knife...it's unbearable. But I have chosen to live by the words that are engraved in Washington, D.C. at the National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial: "It is not how they died, but how they lived." How true that is! Hold your memories close to you; NO ONE can ever take those away. God bless you all. Praying for your peace and comfort.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and co-workers of Sergeant Teasley. I can't think of any other circumstance where an officer could have been braver or been more dedicated to his profession than the actions displayed by Sgt. Teasley. You are a hero.

As our nation mournes from the loss of you, please rest assured that your brothers and sisters in the law enforcement community will not rest until your killer is captured. He may have been able to overpower a few, but he will not be able to overpower the nation. We will see this through until his death. His next judge and jury will be Jesus Christ himself. God Bless you Deputy Teasley.
