I did not know Tommy, but i do now. He will be known to millions by newly formed The Officer Thomas McMeekin Division, Atlantic County #1 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.....a 500 year old society of Irish Roman Catholic men brought to America in 1836 to defend immigrants and the Church from deadly attacks.....just as police officers do even today. The Ofc. Thomas Mcmeekin Division meets at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church and includes many of his family members and friends.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solacr for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace.

Today is five years it doesn't matter if its 5 years or 5 minutes it will never get any easier. you were such a wonderful son . Today we gathered at Chelsea ave. in your honor. past and presant fellow officers were there. what a beautiful day it was . Adria reminds us of you every time we see her. She made christmas cookies with me and she enjoys it as much as you did only now I shoot them and she decorates.... The little things mean the most we can't get enough. nothing in this world ever meant more to me than being a mom. rest my love til we meet again
