Tom,
We just returned from Disney. Adria had memories of being there with you 2 months before you died. I'm so glad she has those memories to hold on to still. You would have been so proud watching her and her team compete. I've never seen her shine so brightly. Thank you for bringing an amazing family into our lives 1000 miles away from home. I know it was your voice that made me go back up to the lobby to talk to a girl standing there. She has alopecia, like Adria, and we formed a bond over that. The next night we discovered her step father worked with you and was by your side after the accident. I know fate and your voice brought us together. Adria now has a strength and courage that she hasn't had before. She knows she isn't alone... She has been so brave telling others about her hair loss since. I am learning more from her every day. We will be in DC this weekend to watch the riders come in and will see your name on the wall- as we do every may. I know you are watching over us... we still feel you everywhere.

Tom,
Today is always the hardest. 11 years ago today we found out we were having a baby... We knew our lives would forever be changed. I remember andrew and Ng coming in your room right after, and sharing the news. Adria did change our lives, in the most amazing way. 8 years ago today I climbed back into bed to give you one last hug before I left for work. I never knew it would be the last. My world would forever be changed again on this day, march 3rd. It was Andrew who came with them to get me from work... Last night we talked about how vividly our last moments with you stay with us. I pray each passing year will get easier, but it never does. Adria and I talk about you every day. She is so much like you, and I see you in her eyes every time I look at her. She is so beautiful and amazing. She tells Brayden about you, and he points to your picture when we say your name. We have to keep him out of your cabinet, he seems to have a fascination with your hat and medals. I guess sharing a birthday, he'll always feel a connection to you. It helps Adria knowing you share that with her brother. I believe you had a part in that, as do both our families. I know your watching over us. I feel your prescence all the time. Please continue to give Adria strength through her newest battle. So many people are praying for her, and she is dealing with it better each day. We miss you more then words could ever describe. I know I'll see you again one day, but until then, you'll remain always in our hearts.... I'll love you forever.

I did not know Tommy, but i do now. He will be known to millions by newly formed The Officer Thomas McMeekin Division, Atlantic County #1 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.....a 500 year old society of Irish Roman Catholic men brought to America in 1836 to defend immigrants and the Church from deadly attacks.....just as police officers do even today. The Ofc. Thomas Mcmeekin Division meets at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church and includes many of his family members and friends.
