Blake was such a good, polite, well-mannered young man playing ball at Woodrow Wilson Park. He had a beautiful smile. He was a good son and a good father. Blake, be your Dad's angel on Feb. 29th as he undergoes open-heart surgery.

It's that dreaded day again...I still remember the call like it was yesterday...all I remember is Brande screaming in the phone..he's hone, he's gone...you would be so proud of Haven and Jewel Grace..Brande has done so well with those 2...you touched so many hearts and lives while you were here...and still continue....I miss you Blake...Rest in Peace!

Blake,

It still seems like yesterday. Please put an extra loving embrace around Dawn, Haven, Jewell Grace, your parents, your siblings and all your family at DCSO. They need to feel your presence as another February is here. Nothing is right without you. I can still see you and Dawn and your girls being happy together as if it were yesterday. Perfect family and truest of loves. I don't know why it went the way it did that night, but I would give anything to change it. Dawn, the girls and everyone remain strong. But it's so damn unfair. You should be here with them. Time passes but time stands still it seems. Give them extra strength this month 591.

It's so hard to believe that tomorrow will be six years since I got that frantic, unbelievable phone call from Brande telling me the impossible. You were gone. My mind immediately went back to all the good times we shared...Helen, GA, bless your heart; Comas Tollege, thanks Brande; the day you came over to take rick fishing, but I wanted him to trim our hedges by the house first, so you helped him. And so many more good memories. So much has happened since you were taken from us...your girls have grown from babies to beautiful young women. Haven has your athletic skills and her mother's looks, and Jewell has your looks with the longest eyelashes known to man and her mother's syrupy sweet demeanor like fresh Georgia peaches on a summer's day. They are both so beautiful. Every time I see them, I think of you, and how you are still watching over them...and us. We ALL miss you...so much.
