Nikolai, R.T. Vidal. Never turn his back on anyone. Never left no one alone. We work hard. As a former youth correctional officer, he was more than a colleague, a friend, a brother. My heart still shakes hard when I remembered him. RIP.

Agent Vidal, best known by us as Niko was one of our best men on the CERT Team for Correctional Services Corporation from 1998. A brave, dedicated and professional officer. We always remember him for his passion to serve and keep order.
BE blessed and remembered always.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 5th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. I will be thinking of your family as the l6th approaches. We just passed the one year date of losing our precious son. I don't even see how a year has passed. I spent a year in catano while in college in the 70's. Fell in love with a guy in the coast guard. Another lifetime. God bless your family.

I used to be the Director of Training and Investigations Unit for the Facility where Niko (as we called him) worked as correctional officer for the SORT Team prior to his assigment as police officer. My husband was his Leiutenant at the SORT Team. Altough he was not a pahysically "tall" or "big" guy, we alwaus remember him as one of our bravest men. My husband always says that when he went on a dangerous situation with Niko, he was sure that he had the right man to watch his back. We are very proud of him and deeply regret not to have more time to enjoy his laughter and jokes, but one thing we know: On Heaven there will be no better angel to watch for our officers and the angels still on earth using any badge than him. Actually, I'm writing the script for a movie, based on his life and the life of each and every officer I knew, compromised to serve justice and fullfill their dream to find justice in the deep world of corrections.
