Todd....6 years. It has been 6 years and I still get the knot in my stomach. While I am happy you are at peace now, I am selfish and want you back. I have not forgotten you, and never will.

I went to our place today to eat, as I do every year today; the place you threw pasta at me and we had a straw paper fight (in between your work phone going off and off and off). I used to get so annoyed with that Nextel and now, now I wouldn't change it for the world. Darn chirps!

I saw a blue Jeep today on the way to the restaurant; go figure, I took a double take.

I miss you Gimpy. You are a true Hero and I never looked at you in any other light. May we all strive to achieve half the greatness you did.

Until we meet again,

Lisa.

Thinking of you and all of your loved ones today. Continue to keep watch over all of your loved ones. I'm sure that the individual who caused all this pain and suffering is paying dearly with his sentence as those that molest children are not accepted by the prison inmates. I hope every day is like living in hell for him.

Todd,

Another year of lost time and love, a million smiles and hugs gone, and another birthday missed; as 8/19/2008 marks 4 years since God brought another Angel home. I cannot sleep tonight knowing what tomorrow will bring and thinking of you. I see your face when I close my eyes and every day in the pictures of you I hold so dear to my heart. I think my favorite is the one of you flexing your muscles and kissing your bicep..ha..you were too much!

I have the best Guardian Angel anyone could hope for knowing you are in heaven right now watching over all of us who loved you so. There forever will remain a hole in my heart in the shape of you, Todd. If I had only known that morning would be the last time I would hear your voice, see your face, or feel your embrace--I would have memorized everything you ever said, hugged you and never let you go, and prayed a million prayers to stop the dawn of that horrible morning.

Say hello to Mimi for me... Both my Angels---its just too much to bear sometimes.

Love you and miss you, Gimpy.

I was stationed with Todd at Kirtland Air Force base in Albuquerque, N.M. this comes as such a surprise to me . Todd and I lost contact with each other and only spoke a few times after he moved to FL. He spoke all the time about wanting to become a deputy in Broward County. In the Air Force we were both Law enforcement, Todd disliked it when anyone would disregard the law. We had some great times off duty also. I am deeply sadden by his death this is a great loss. I cannot begin to feel what his family must of gone through. the world needs more people like Todd.

The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

03 years have passed since your brutal murder. May your family be comforted by the fact that you will FOREVER be a hero and will NEVER be forgotten! Until one day in Heaven we meet, keep walking your beat on the Golden Street keeping an eye on the thin blue line.

The anniversary of your EOW is fast approaching and here we are bidding farewell to another Deputy. Todd, I just wanted you and your family to know that not a day goes by that I do not think of you. One of my favorite memories is how, as a young rookie, you would sit on University Dr. looking for "one eyes." I remember when I answered a fire call at your house when the stove "went up."
My friend you will always be in my memories and you will never be forgotten. Those of us who worked with you in Tamarac as well as those who knew you miss you very much.

There are times I sit down and watch the videos that I took for our class, 177th, during those 5 to 6 months. We had a great time learning to be police officers and working as a team. We are all laughing it up but then the video ends and the harsh reality sets in. If I can turn back the hands of time I would. I'll miss you bro and we will meet again.
