Well May2, 2022 will be 18 yrs since God gave u your wings...It still doesn't make it any easier...I still miss u as much as I did the day u went to Heaven...I can still see the look on Eddie's face and Austin screaming it's DAD it's DAD. I was getting ready for church when I heard the knock on the door...never thinking my life would forever change...God took the only person on this earth that no matter what I did, I knew u always had my back...and loved me unconditionally. U never get over it u just have to try the best way u can to cope with it...Nanny Jo always said the Lord won't put no more on you than he knows u can handle...but it's hard for me to always feel that way...I just hope that one day I can be a 3rd of the God Fearing Christian Woman that she is, bc then I would be happy...I love and miss u so much...and will always be Daddy-O's oldest girl, and you will always be my HERO...Love me

Daddy-O,

Tomorrow is your 15 yr, Anniversary for your E.O.W. And it still feels like yesterday u were taken too soon from us. I love and miss u so much. I wish u could see all your grandkids bc I know they would never wanna stay home bc they would wanna be at pawpaw Jimmy's house. But I know that u r watching over us. I know when u are around bc I'm still finding the dimes. Not sure exactly what they mean completely. But I know when I just vacuumed a rug and look BK down and there it lays. It's usually u trying to tell me something. Bc I will find one and if I don't seem to get it, then there is another and another. And then usually the phone rings or someone shows up to give me some kind of news bad or good. And I love knowing that u r close, but i still wish u we're here bc I need u too behere So much. U are and always will be my HERO, My Daddy-O! I love u to the moon and back.
Love, YourFirstBornAndOldestDaughter

Daddy-O,

Its hard to believe your 14,yr anniversary is tomorrow! Not a day goes by that I don’t miss u! I think I miss u more now than ever bc your grandbabies are getting so big and I know u would have spoiled them rotten! But they know what a hero their PawPaw Jimmy was Abby is almost 14 and Gavin is 8! And your newest granddaughter Kynleigh Hope will be making her appearances in a few months, I am so proud of the Man Austin has become and I know u are so proud of him.And I am so glad he will have a daddy’s girl, like Sarah and I were yours! And Sarah got her Driver’s License ! I will never let you be forgotten! You were and will always be my HERO! I love and miss you so much! For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Georgia Fraternal Order of Police Foundation. I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. https://www.facebook.com/allybass87/posts/923211404514374. I did this to honor you and all the other fallen officers! I will never forget my Hero!

Love ❤️ Always,

Hey buddy. I miss you and the crazy things we did. I'm holding it down for you. I really hope I'm doing right by you Jimmy. I visited the national memorial in DC and saw your name. I could see you looking saying, "that's pretty cool." I do believe I will go to Denny's this week and get the Dagwood!

We rode the shift in your honor tonight. Every time I drive by our honey hole I honk the horn for you. My wife even remembers and honks too! I can't believe its been 13 years...

Daddy-O,

Well its hard to believe that I'm 30 today! And in 3 days will be 13 yrs since the Lord took you from us! I love and miss you the same if not more today than the day the Lord called you home! I wish u were here with your grandbabies and Me and Austin and Sarah! Its crazy that she just turned 15! I just hope that when she turns 18 that she will come and look for your side of the family! Since we can't see her! It's hard always tring to be the string ine and trying to keep this family together! I know that you are watching over us and I know that youchave been around alot lately bc I have been finding the Dimes everywhere! And it is kinda funny because I had a hitl helping me at work the other night and she had just shook off the rug and put it back down and when we turned around there lay a dime! And she said Ally why did u throw this dime down and I said I didn't, I was over here. She said, I just shook that rug so how did this dime get here? And I said Idk and just smiled! I'm so proud that you are my father and I am so thankful that you gave your Life doomg what you loved which was Protecting and Serving the ppl in Henry and Butta County! You were HCPD's 1st Fallen Officer and I hope that they Never forget your Sacrifice that you made doing what you Loved! I would much rather have you here but I know you are in a better place and that when the Lord gets ready for me to come home, I will see you again! But it dosn't make missing you any easier! I love you and will Always be Daddy-O's Oldest Girl Always and Forever! You are and will always be my HERO! I Love you more than anyone will ever know! Love Always, Your 1st born!

Jimmy, I still think of you often. I remember that you would come over to CID on a daily basis and we would talk about many things. When I was a young detective I could always count on you to find the bad guy that I was looking for. I know that you are still watching out over us and I just want to thank you for that.

Jimmy,
It's hard to look at your flag in the hallway at work. You were such a wonderful person. i remember when you would call and talk to me while I was working in telecom and just talk about your day and what was going on. I remember you telling me you were marrying a flight attendant and we were all so happy for you because you had had such a hard time being a single father to your two children. I know you were a wonderful father to your 3 children. You truly loved all your children and so loved Pat. You are missed Jimmy Gilbert.

Daddy-O,

I just wanted to say hey and tell you that we still miss and love you so much! Last night I was looking for a Star Wars VHS and in the drawer I saw a VHS movies that said jimmy in your handwriting! And I put it into the VHS player and it's was a video of you 11-13-1988. And you were with the HCSO at the time! You were so young and thin(lol)! But I just started crying bc I got to hear your voice! You said that you were sending the video to the GA Training Center so maybe it would help save officers lives! And all of the what not to do while on duty so that you all would make it home. I don't know who filmed it but I'm so glad I have it so I can always hear your voice! You also said that once u actually looked at the video that u realized what kinds of safety things u didn't follow during the traffic stop! But I know that you must learn quick bc u made it a few mo shy of 16 more years before The Lord took u from us! E.O.W. 05/02/2004 HCPD. I'm so proud to say you are my father!

Love Always,
