Your heroism and service is honored today on the 8th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family. especially your daughter, for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

I love and mis you so much! Two days ago I was sitting in the living room with Gavin and he looked up at a pic of you, and pointed and said Paw Paw! GOD ONLY KNOWS HOW BAD I WANT YOU HERE WITH US! I wish you were here to hold them...I know that you are watching over us...but it`s not the same...I would give every bone in my body to have you back...Since you left us...our family has just fell apart...Pat took Sarah and won`t let anyone see her...I haven`t 5 1/2-6 yrs since I have ssen her...I just hope she knows how much we love and miss her... Life would be so much easier if you were here... But I am trying so hard to do whats right and make you proud and to keep your memory alive! I just hope that one day our family will come back together and that Pat would have something to do with your children and granchildren...Well enough of all that...I love and miss you! Love Always,

I just wanted to say I love you and miss you so much! It`s almost Thanksgiving and I wish you were here! Your grandchildren are getting so big! Abby is 7 andin first grade! Gavin is 19 months, and running all over the place. I named him James Gavin, James after you and paw paw! I keep your memory alive with the kids, they know who their paw paw Jimmy is. Every time Abby`s see`s a police car, she says look mama its paw paw Jimmy! I love that! Well take care and we will meet again in Heaven!

Jimmy - you have really been on my mind lately. You were such a fun person and I enjoyed working with you all of those years. I remember when we would run in to each other shopping at the "new" Ingles in Jackson when all of our kids were little. That Ingles is old now and we are both grandparents. You did a wonderful job raising your kids.

You died on my Mother's birthday. We will always remember you and share fond memories with each other. I admire you so much and I know I will see you again. Rene'

This week is National Police Week in Washington, DC. I just pray for all of the families that have been there and for the one that are still to come. It is a very great program that they do for the survivors. I love you and miss you soo much! I know that you and Bobby Jones are up there working on something and eating biscuits and chocolate ice cream:)

Dear Jimmy,
How are you mate, It's been a few years since I got the call about you from Leon henry. I still tell my kids how you always gave me a hard time being an Australian "James Bond" I remember sitting and eating with you and you would do your best to get a rise out of me. I glad I made you laugh (at my expense) and how much you liked your food. I found some old photos and film of us training (2000) and my kids just love it.They think we were having way too much fun. My kid brother just finished 12 years with 22nd SAS but unfortunately got hurt and still recovering.

I am proud to have known you and called you my friend. God is watching over your family and they will always be safe.

It's still hard after six years, but I'm doing so great...I am married to my wonderful husband Adam...And your grandchildren are getting sooo big.
