To the Family of Officer Jennifer Timathy-Ann Fettig,

I have the honor of carrying your daughter and sister with me as my silent partner. I grew up in Southwest Detroit looking up to female officers and Officer Fettig is one who will never be forgotten. She is strong and brave and we all greatly appreciate her service, dedication, and sacrifice made for my community and the Detroit Police Department. I will do my best to carry her name and memory with honor, courage, and commitment.
My sincerest condolences for your family’s loss. Praying for better days and continue to shine. Wishing you peace, comfort, and love.

Learned today about you and this incident today from a friend of yours. He was also a fellow officer and was on the scene that night. Such a heartbreaking tragedy, but please know you are not forgotten. God Bless your family.

May family and friends of Officer Fettig find peace for a pain the runs so deep.

No matter how much time has passed since you were so cruelly taken away from those who loved you the most, it doesn't get any easier the pain is still there and it hurts just as much now as it did then. The pain is raw and runs deep within my heart and soul. Whenever another LEO dies in the line of duty the feelings and memories of losing you come flooding back to the forefront of my mind. The officers who are shot and killed during a "routine" traffic stop are the ones that tear me up the most. There's a special place in my heart that's just for you, where I keep your precious memories safely tucked away. Always on my mind, forever in my heart until we meet again, I love you.

I think about you and Matt often, daily honestly. I often say silent prayers for the both of you and your families. We only met by chance on that freezing cold morning, but I am honored to have known the both of you, and I can only hope to have a fraction of the courage and selflessness that the both of you displayed that fateful morning.

You will never be forgotten.

God bless you, your family and your co-workers.
