Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Dear Grandpa,
We have never seen you, except in grainy newspaper photos, but we love you just as much as if we had. As your brothers and sisters join you; it is up to us, your grandchildren to keep your story alive and fight evil as grandma taught us.
Love,
From all of your Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. May we live up to your example.

Thanks for trying, but alas, even Bosco drinks.

J.D., as you have known through many wars and famines, and have welcomed many officers, you now know that Jesus Loves You, so do we! I am gonna find your resting spot some day and say 'hi.
