Reflections for Police Officer John Patrick Watson

Officer Watson,
On today, the 20th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S, Army. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

John Watson, Brother in Arms, Friend, Younger Brother from another Mother.
I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, twenty years had passed. I don't know how, or why, it just did.
My Grandson and I went after some Browns last week. Little did I know, that my chest wader belt had fallen around my ankles, and I face planted. Now you have to realize, as an old guy, it's a lot easier to fall, than it is to get up. So while I'm thrashing around, I heard a laugh. It was a familiar laugh, that made me feel good.
John, I celebrate your life, your friendship, and most of all, your sacrifice. On that note, I guess I'll see you soon enough.
Try to find some nice stream, with clean water, and plenty of hungry Trout. Till then you are G.B.N.F.

It was 19 years ago on Christmas night 2003 that we lost a great public servant needlessly. Rest in piece my friend, you are missed and remembered.

Writing to you twice on your birthday.

I just watched TITANIC.

We went to see it in the theater when it first came out.
You told me later that while we were watching it you realized that you loved me.
Watching it brings back SO much!

I LOVE YOU

I didn’t know Officer John Watson but I think of him often, especially on Christmas Day . I grew up with the suspect in this case and I am sickened by his actions. My heart will always ache for the Watson family. God bless and take good care. Your father and husband is a hero.
