Reflections for Corporal Thomas Roberts
Merry Christmas uncle Tom. We all wish you were here with us. I remember you always getting the best toys and hearing stories of you going at midnight to get them or playing with them first. Today we are going to aunt peggy's to celebrate after opening gifts, and it sure won't ever be the same without you. I love and miss you so much, keep us all safe.
Love you forever

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 8th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you.
Rest In Peace.

Brother Tom
I stopped by the Mishawaka Memorial early this morning to say hello to both you and Bryan Verkler. I am working down in Indianapolis today and staying just a few blocks from the Indiana Police Memorial. I will walk over to say hi and spend more time with you. It feels just like it was yesterday that Corporal Mark Fedder knocked on our door to tell us the tragic news. We all miss you. Love Larry

Tom,
It's because of officers like you and Bryan who enjoyed helping others and making the streets and neighborhoods safe that have inspired me to strive to become an officer myself. I didn't know you that well, but loved going to the games with Uncle Gary and being around family. I can now call you a brother for many years to come because I, like you, want to make a difference and want to help those who call on us to help protect them. Miss you and you will never be forgotten.

I never got to meet you, but I see the impact you have on the people I love very much, especially around this time of year. It makes me tear up and feel sad every time I hear Mike or Rach talk about you. Mike talks about you all the time telling me how much we would get along, that you would really like me and vice versa. Even though we have never met, I feel your presence all around...

Hey Tom
Well, it's been eight years since you gave up the ultimate sacrifice to protect us. I didn't think I'd ever be able to write you. I miss you so much. I truly believe you are my guardian angel. It's so hard to believe that I was in forth grade when you die and I'm now a senior. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you. I don't know of anyone really knows how much your death has impacted my life, but it has, in very large ways. Daddy tries to be so strong for the rest of the family but I know he really misses his best friend, and that ND games aren't the same without you. I hope you are proud of who I have become, and I know your proud of your successful daughters too. You are my greatest inspiration and I just wish you were here celebrating the holidays with us. Mike is well and in the navy in Guam. Mom keeps us sane. I know I tell you this when I always talk to you but writing it out seems to help. I truly miss you so much. You are my hero. I will never forget you.
Love always,
Your niece Rachel

This still sucks so many years later. I'm still here. I checked on Deb the other night. She's ok. I still remember when you used to call on a pay phone using 911 saying there is a house on fire you asshole. I love you and miss you even though we really never had a chance to get to no eachother. Its been 7 years since I got on. I get to train the new guys now. Believe that. Didn't think so since I sucked in dispatch. Miss you Tom. Keep us safe would ya. Miss you old man.
