Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Jeffry Todd Edelson

My condolences to your family and agency. Unfortunately another Crown "Vic"-tim. When will the government step in and force manufacturers to build a safer police cruiser. Too many brave officers lose their lives in accidents due to their unsafe cruisers. May god bless you and your family during this tough time. You are truly a hero.

Trooper Edelson will always be remembered for his service to New York and this nation. I certainly appreciate his sacrifice. To Trooper Edelson family, may the Lord give you peace as you struggle with the loss and your grief.

To the Troops and civilian members of the New York State Police, thank you. The sight of the distinctive grey uniform and the grey stetson trimmed in royal purple, brings comfort to those in distress, and certainly strikes fear into those who would cause harm. Your sacrifice and devotion to duty are legendary to all Yorkers. As a child, growing up in Chemung County, I was in awe of troops and the their work. I share in the grief of losing Trooper Edelson, and I commend you all for your important work.
