Reflections for Patrolman Frederick Aloysius Bell

Patrolman Bell, it has been 59 years since you were taken from us and joined your blood brother.

New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and law enforcement service.

Since the NLEOMF inception in 1991, for some reason Officer Bell's name has been omitted from the Memorial Wall. After years of research and hard work, we have finally made the family's dream come true. Next year Officer Frederick Bell's name will go on the Wall with his brother's Henry, who was killed in the line of duty in 1937.

**Please note the EOW is incorrect, according to the Mass. Death Certificate Sept 5th 1954 is the correct date. Not Sept 8th.

Grandpa, even though ive never gotten the chance to meet you, i've heard nothing but wonderful things about you... You would be so proud to see the father my dad has become, and the father my brother has just become. As of 3 weeks ago you became a great grandpa. We all keep you and Mimi in our memories and to our family you will always remain a hero. I couldnt be more thankful to you for giving me my dad although he lost you when he was 6, a part of you always lived on through him. Love you.

Patrolman Bell, while trying to help save a live, it ultimately cost you yours. Very sad and tragic and compounded by you having lost a brother in the line of duty. Your family did more than its share.

Thank you for your service to the citizens of Newton, the Commonwealth as a whole and to the nation as a Veteran of WW2. You are a true hero.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

Patrolman Bell,
On today, the 52nd anniversary of your death, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your community, but also for our Country when you served in the USAAF during WWII.

To Officer Bell..... It's been many years since you made the ultimate sacrifice. I'm here to tell you that your sacrifice is no less important today than it was in 1954. I assure you your family remembers and has passed on your memory to the next generations. My own father was killed in the line of duty 29 years ago but I've been sure to pass his memory on to my children so they would know him as if he were here himself. Thank you again.........You'll not be forgotten
