Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Kelli Lee Lambert

Another year has passed since you left us It still feels recent in my mind. I have kept you with me on every tour of duty since that horrible night. I think of you daily, you never leave my mind. It has gotten easier to talk about you, but it still hurts the same. I love and miss you so very much Kelli. Until we meet again my beautiful friend.

Kelli it’s been a long time since I have posted anything on here, and through the up and downs of life I know you have always been watching us all, protecting us and caring for us.

I just wanted you to know you were never forgotten, we all still love and miss you.

19 years, doesn’t seem possible. Seems like only yesterday that your smile, and infectious personality were brightening the days of everyone you came into contact with. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and the wonderful impact you had on not just me, but everyone who met you. I can’t imagine how many peoples lives were changed for the better just by meeting you, or by being lucky enough to have you in their lives. Although the years continue to pass, the memories of you do not fade a bit. From myself and everyone who’s lives you made better, I just want to say thank you. Miss you always

The years pass and yet it still seems like yesterday. It’s impossible to forget what an amazing person you were, and how much love and compassion you had within you. You were one of the few people I have ever met that truly cared about the impact you had on people and the community you were a part of, I just hope everyone realized what they had in you. I will never forget you and the affect you had on my life. You made everyone around you better including me and I can never thank you enough.

Another year gone and it still seems like yesterday. You were such a beautiful person that made so many people's lives better. When you were around things were just better and everyone recognized that. You were always there for your family, friends, community and of course any animal in need :) and I truly believe you still are. I'm so thankful to have been a part of your life and we are all better to have had you as a part of ours. Thinking of you everyday and missing you always!

On Monday, July 21st, 2003, I was a 20 year old starting my first day of the police academy. 13 years later, Im the grizzled vet on my night shift wondering where the time went. I sincerely wish you had the chance to experience that feeling as well. Thank you for your sacrifice.

This was the first LODD that hit close to home for me. I was the same age as Ofc Lambert and was in my FTO program when this happened. Her sacrifice is not forgotten.

Wow, 11 years..... Another year goes by but your still here with us. Although time goes by and days continue to pass our memories of you do not. You were such an amazing person and you were truly a gift to us all. Though many of us recognized how remarkable you were I don't think any of us could have been prepared for a world without you and how truly heartbreaking it is. We have pictures of your beautiful smile and memories of the wonderful times with you but they just don't compare to the ray of light that was you. I think of you daily and miss you as much as ever and as I'm sure I'm not the only one I'm also sure we will all continue to do so. Everything about you is unforgettable and I wouldn't have it any other way. Missing you always!

10 years... Not even sure what to say. As time goes by the world changes, people change, but there is always a constant, your memory. No matter how much time goes by and how many changes come to be, the thought of you will always remain. The way your smile lit up a room, your humor lightened a mood or your wonderful personality just made everyone's day brighter we were all better for having known you. I think of you daily as I'm sure many others do as well and as often as the thoughts are of sadness at having lost you, they usually quickly turn to happier thoughts of things you said, did or a lot of the time just that amazing smile. 10 years later you are not forgotten, still loved and that will neve change! Missing you!

It's hard to believe its been 9 years, it still seems like only yesterday. I remember everything about that night and as much of it is memories we all wish we didn't have to have I tend to go past them to the happy ones.... Seeing you earlier in the night doing what you love with that beautiful smile glaring, brightening everyone's world and making Wellston a better place. Not only did you do this with your service but You did it with your personality... it always changed the atmosphere. No matter how bad things were they always got better when you were around, you were always watching over us all as I'm sure you still do. You are a role model for all and I can only hope to someday be half of the person you were. 9 years later you are not forgotten, still loved and that will never change. Missing you!

Eight years may have passed but I know the pain is still the same for all of those that love you dearly. They will always carry their love and fond memories of you in their hearts. Continue to keep watch over all of them. You have not been forgotten.

Years pass and it doesn't get any easier. It still seems like only yesterday that you were here and I keep hoping it's a bad dream, but continue to wake up to you being gone. So many things bring back memories of you and everytime a WPD cruiser goes by and I hope to see that amazing smile..... I miss it. You could brighten up any situation no matter how bad and I know that you changed and bettered so many lives and made so many people happy that it helps with the sadness to think of all the happiness you brought. 8 years later your not forgotten and still loved and that will never change. Missing you!

Miss Foxy Kelli Lee, I hope that you are having a very Happy Birthday in Heaven. I think about you often and laugh as I remember the fun times that we had. I was going through old pictures the other day, and found some of us at Jazzy's 1st birthday party. Wow was that a crazy and hectic day and you helped me out so much. We still have the Elmo blanket that you got her for her birthday, and I have told her about you. It makes me sad to think that was almost 11 years ago now. She will be turning 12 this year.

Still to this day I think of you when I hear the song "Take a picture" by Filter. Not real sure why you liked that song so well, but I will never forget you jammin' to it. You were definitly one of a kind. =)

Love and miss you my friend. Happy Birthday.
