PO Doug Eatherton

As a former Norfolk, Va. police officer and having a brother in the Va. Beach police force, this death has hit very close to home. My heart goes out to Rodney's family. I just got off the phone with my brother, Officer Erwin Aguirre, and he had only fond memories of Rodney. How Rodney would play catch with his son, my nephew, during football games. May the city of Va. Beach and the nation never forget the ultimate sacrifice Rodney made for his community.

Rod was a dear friend and co-worker. His dedication to serving his community was matched only by his love for his family.

Always studying, always updating himself on the newest laws, decisions and policies. A truely dedicated police officer that everyone will miss and never forget.

I wish we had more time together.
